Skateboarding. Will it really help? I think so. Were trying to make something out of something we love. We’ve been working on just getting all the supplies and were very close to having all the supplies. We need seven more maple veneer sheets. We have all the glue. We are lucky we have a friend that had a press. This makes our job easier and makes the quality of our decks much better. We still need to make the rest of the decks because we’ve only made 3. We also need to put designs on the decks. We still do not have a design. We are most likely to use, “Life is Tough, but im Tougher” because we feel they can really relate to this because they go through hard times. Although they face hard times they always find a way to not get into trouble because they stick to skateboarding. Also we decided that we would not be able to make shirts because we have used around $80 on just the skateboards so we feel that we can just make the boards because thats mainly what are goal is. We have not really been thinking about the final presentation. I do have one idea and it is to try to have one of the skaters we give a board to, to come and tell us about the help we brought. If we can’t get someone to come I think that we should at least go to them and interview them. Some question ideas are, “ Did we help at all by giving you this board? “ Also, “ Has skateboarding kept you out of trouble? If so, why?” We also realized that we still need to get a lot of sheets of griptape. We are also thinking that we can put the grip on before we give it to them. Also we want to give out a couple of tools so they can set up their boards. We were also thinking of having a skate sesh, when you are skating, with them. We are really looking forward to talk to them and bring them their present. We also found a place where we can donate some boards. There is a charity here you send decks, truck, wheels, hardware, griptape, or bearings. Although we are only making decks we can still only send a couple of decks. This charity is called, “Boards For Bro’s” They have been up since 2006. Their charity is run by multiple skateboarding professional’s. Also we wanted to say that we are probably making more than 10 decks. The reason that we are probably making more decks is that our process is much faster now that we have found a press. We have also found places in Sunnyvale and Mountain View where there is homeless teenage skateboarders. We hope for the best to come out of this project. As you may see we are shooting for the best in this 20 % project.
